Marcus Hebein joined Keystone-SDA in March 2019 as head of the multimedia newsroom. Previously, Hebein was deputy editor-in-chief of the Austrian news agency APA, where he was responsible in particular for building up multimedia editorial services and workflows.

Hebein has put this knowledge and his experience at the service of Keystone-SDA over the past ten months and thus contributed significantly to the development of the newsroom of the future, according to the statement. During this time, the live and real-time services in text and video were developed and transferred to operational use, and the multimedia blog was set up as a new element of the basic service.

During this time, important steps were also taken to integrate text, images and video spatially and organizationally in the newsroom at the Bern Wankdorf site. The set-up phase of the newsroom has thus been completed.
