Caroline Scherb becomes partner at Lemongrass Communications

Caroline Scherb, Chief Communications Officer of Swiss Re, will join Lemongrass Communications as of January 1, 2020, strengthening the team as a partner.

After more than 20 years in leading positions on the corporate side, Caroline Scherb is moving back into consulting. As a partner, she will strengthen Lemongrass Communications as of January 1, 2020, advising in particular boards of directors and executive boards on reputation and positioning issues, accompanying transformation processes, and supporting companies in organizing and staffing the communications function. In doing so, she can draw on a broad range of experience from internal and external communications as well as branding and employee engagement at internationally active companies in various industries.

Caroline Scherb has been Chief Communications Officer of Swiss Re since 2010 and in this role has led the company's global internal and external communications. She was responsible for Swiss Re's successful brand positioning by strategically integrating branding, marketing communications, media relations, leadership and employee communications as well as digital competencies and arts and culture engagements and consistently implementing them worldwide.

Prior to that, Caroline Scherb worked at the chemical company Ciba, where she assumed overall responsibility for the company's communications in 2005 and played a key role in its integration into BASF in 2009 and 2010. She gained her first experience in consulting at Ketchum, an international PR agency, where she worked in Munich and New York primarily for companies in the consumer goods industry. Caroline Scherb studied marketing communications in Munich and holds an Executive Master of Science in Communications Management from the University of Lugano. 

With Caroline Scherb, Lemongrass Communications broadens the existing partnership of Karin Rhomberg, Cornelia Schmid, Peter Hartmeier, Hans-Peter Wäfler and Andreas Hildenbrand and further deepens the service capacity. In addition, Lemongrass continues to work with Barbara Heller, Managing Director of Swipra Services, as a consultant in corporate governance and defense consulting, and cooperates with Esther Girsberger, Managing Director of Speakers.ch, in event content conception.
