Change in the chief editorship of Radio Top

Sandro Peter will become the new Editor-in-Chief of Radio Top on November 1, 2019. He will succeed Manuela Burgermeister, who will leave Radio Top at the end of October.

36-year-old Sandro Peter began his journalistic career seven years ago at Radio Top. After studying journalism at the University of Zurich, he started as a reporter at Radio Top. Over the years, he continuously took on additional responsibilities as chief of staff, coordinator of court reporting and, most recently, deputy editor-in-chief.

An internal solution was also found with Sarah Frattaroli for the position of Deputy Editor-in-Chief. The 27-year-old from Winterthur studied political science and law and was then head of communications at Save the Children. She has been working at Radio Top for two years, most recently as Head of Service.

The current editor-in-chief Manuela Burgermeister is leaving Radio Top for "Blick TV" after around 13 years. Burgermeister started as a reporter at Radio Top in 2006, later becoming chief of staff and then being promoted to Head of East and Deputy Editor-in-Chief. As editor-in-chief, she has sustainably strengthened the Radio Top and Top Online brands over the past five years or so, according to a statement on Friday.
