The "upcoming changes" that triggered Schoch's dismissal are not made clear in the SRF release on Thursday. These would only be communicated on Thursday afternoon at an employee information session.

Schoch spent 25 years at SRF, respectively at Schweizer Fernsehen and Radio DRS. From 2009, he worked as editor-in-chief and, as co-project manager together with Ruedi Matter, led the merger of Schweizer Radio DRS and Schweizer Fernsehen into SRF. Since 2011, he was head of programming and deputy to Matter. Schoch is now setting up his own digital transformation company. (SDA)
