Roger Brändlin moves from "Tagesschau" to "Echo der Zeit" as anchorman

Roger Brändlin has been presenting the "Tagesschau" at midday, in the evening at 6 p.m. and at night for six years. He is now returning to radio and will join the "Echo der Zeit" presenting team at the beginning of 2019. Roger Brändlin succeeds Samuel Wyss, who is moving to Radio SRF 4 News, on Radio SRF's political evening show.

Roger Brändlin has been working for SRF since 2007, first as a news editor and presenter at Radio SRF, then as a producer and editor for the daily program on Radio SRF 3. He switched to television in December 2012. For six years, the Zurich native has presented the "Tagesschau" at midday, in the evening at 6 p.m. and at night. Now the 45-year-old is returning to Radio SRF and will be part of the "Echo der Zeit" presenting team from January 2019. On the political evening show, he will take over from Samuel Wyss, who will now be working for Radio SRF 4 News.

Roger Brändlin in a press release: "My years in television in Zurich were varied and exciting. And yet I never completely lost touch with Bern and my former radio colleagues. The fact that I am now the presenter of the Echo of time being able to return fills me with joy and pride."
