Peter Kretzschmar takes over communications for BP in Switzerland

Peter Kretzschmar will take over the newly created position of Communications Manager D-A-CH at BP in August. He succeeds Isabelle Thommen, who has been with the BP Group since 2001 and was most recently responsible for communications in Switzerland and Austria. She will leave the company at the end of July.

From August, Peter Kretzschmar will be responsible for BP's internal and external communications in Switzerland and Austria, while retaining his executive communications duties in Germany. The 36-year-old German will continue to work in Bochum.

According to the press release, Peter Kretzschmar has in-depth knowledge of online, executive and employee communications as well as strategic communications planning and consulting. He began his career at BP in Bochum in 2005 as Project Manager Communications & External Affairs. From 2010 to 2012, he was Advisor Digital Communications, and from 2013 Senior Advisor Internal Communications & Services.

Kretzschmar studied business administration at the Baden-Wuerttemberg Cooperative State University in Mannheim. He is married and the father of a seven-year-old daughter.
