As an online retailer, Digitec Galaxus is essentially a technology company. In order to further strengthen its innovative power, the company has added an area to its management team: Effective immediately, Stefan Müller joins the management team as Chief Technology O cer (CTO).

Müller has been working at Digitec Galaxus for almost ten years: now 34, he began his career at the company as a software engineer. He then headed up the first team of software developers. And for the past five years, Müller has been Head of Engineering, responsible for building up and expanding the development department. This is now over 100 employees strong. "Stefan has grown up with us," says Florian Teuteberg, CEO of Digitec Galaxus. "I'm delighted that with him as CTO we can now focus even more on the technology behind our online stores."

Duo for innovation

With the promotion of Stefan Müller, Product Development at Digitec Galaxus is now represented by a duo on the Executive Board: CIO and Digitec co-founder Oliver Herren continues to be responsible for prioritizing the innovations to be implemented in the interests of customers. How and with which technology these innovations are implemented is now the responsibility of Müller and the development teams. Under Müller, Digitec Galaxus will invest even more heavily in the area of machine learning, among other things. "In addition, we will continue to expand our IT staff," says Müller. "In doing so, we are relying on an agile development process with interdisciplinary teams, each of which specializes in a part of our business area and takes decisions largely on its own responsibility."

With the addition, the management team of Digitec Galaxus now consists of seven people: In addition to Herren, Teuteberg and Müller, the management team consists of Martin Walthert (CMO), Thomas Fugmann (CFO), Johannes Cramer (COO) and Hendrik Blijdenstein (CCO).
