Matthias Kündig goes to Miami as USA correspondent for Radio SRF

Matthias Kündig will be the USA correspondent for Radio SRF and SRF News, based in Miami. He takes over from Sarah Nowotny and Roman Fillinger, who are unable to take up the correspondent post in Florida due to a serious illness in the family. For the time being, they will work in the foreign editorial office until their future tasks have been definitively clarified.

Matthias Kündig is a producer at "Echo der Zeit," and was also a special correspondent for the foreign desk in Egypt. Reporting trips have taken him to Cuba and Bosnia, among other places. Before that, he worked at Radio SRF 4 News as producer and presenter of "HeuteMorgen" and as presenter, editor and editorial director at Radio SRF 3. He has worked at Swiss Radio SRF for 25 years.

Matthias Kündig studied history and political science at the University of Bern. He then worked as a teacher in the Bernese Oberland and in the USA. He speaks French, English and Arabic. He will reactivate his Spanish this summer in an intensive course. Matthias Kündig will leave for Miami in mid-September and will be ready for the Midterm Elections in November in the USA.
