Alex Herrmann becomes Strategy Director at Hotz Brand Consultants

The brand consultancy Hotz Brand Consultants strengthens its management team. Alex Herrmann takes over responsibility for strategy and innovation. He becomes a member of the executive board.

From December 2017, the 42-year-old will support clients in brand development and drive the company's holistic brand management approach.

The long-time Head of Strategy at the brand agency MetaDesign and Director of Studies for the CAS Brand Management and Communication at the University of Bern is moving to Zug as of December 1. In addition to further developing Hotz Brand Consultants' strategic consulting portfolio, Alex Herrmann will also be responsible for building up the Brand-Driven Innovation business unit and strengthening the company's position as a modern brand consultancy.

Over the past 15 years, Alex Herrmann has supported a large number of national and international brands. He has worked in Switzerland, Germany, France and the USA for companies such as Publicis, Sasserath Munzinger Plus or Wirz/BBDO and supported their clients in all matters relating to brand management, communication, change management and design thinking.

The new head of strategy wants to share his broad wealth of experience with clients and colleagues and jointly drive companies and their brands forward. "Today's brand management challenges have become so complex and multifaceted that comprehensive expertise and collaboration are essential - for both brand owners and brand consultants. At Hotz Brand Consultants, we have an environment where data analysts, brand, motion and digital designers, psychologists, and business economists all work together on the same thing. This is not only promising and inspiring, but also corresponds to my holistic understanding of brand development," says Alex Herrmann happily.

Bastian Schneider, who has headed strategy at Hotz Brand Consultants for the past six years, is moving to the Brand Leadership Circle, of which Hotz Brand Consultants is a member, as Chief Strategy and Business Development Officer, where he will be responsible for the group's strategy development. At Hotz Brand Consultants, he continues to advise clients as a senior advisor on their strategic issues.
