Mark Eisenegger appointed professor of journalism

Mark Eisenegger has been appointed Professor ad personam of Journalism with a focus on "Public Sphere and Society" as of February 1, 2018.

Born in 1965, Eisenegger studied sociology, journalism and computer science at UZH. In 2005, he received his doctorate from the same university. From 2004, he was a lecturer at the Universities of Zurich, Fribourg and Lugano, and also held substitute professorships at the University of Fribourg. In 2013/2014, Eisenegger directed the Research Institute Public Sphere and Society (Fög). Today, he is president of the Fög and co-editor of the "Jahrbuch Qualität der Medien". Since 2015, he has been a full professor of communication studies with a focus on organizational communication at Paris Lodron University Salzburg.
