Sylvain Cognard becomes new head of Tamedia's Lausanne printing center
Due to his ordinary retirement, Jürg Vollenweider is handing over the management of the Tamedia Printing Center Lausanne in Bussigny at the end of September. He will be succeeded as of October 1, 2017 by Sylvain Cognard, who has been working as Head of Newspaper Production at the Lausanne printing center since 2015.
After many years of professional independence, Jürg Vollenweider took over the management of the Tamedia Printing Center Lausanne in mid-2015. With his great experience and high level of expertise, he succeeded within just a few months in stabilizing production as well as costs at the printing center and significantly increasing quality. Furthermore, Jürg Vollenweider built up the young management team at the Lausanne printing center and continuously introduced new team members.
Sylvain Cognard is a qualified printing engineer and has many years of experience in the printing industry. Before joining Tamedia in 2015, he worked for several years as production manager at the Courvoisier printing center of Groupe Gassmann in Biel. Before that, the native Frenchman worked for ten years in various industrial companies in France.
