Christine Kunovits becomes editor-in-chief of the garden magazine Bioterra

Christine Kunovits will take over as editor-in-chief and publishing director of the garden magazine Bioterra, which is published by the publishing house of the same name, in mid-October this year. She succeeds Doris Guarisco, who is retiring in the fall after more than 20 successful years with the title. With her know-how and commitment, Doris Guarisco has established Bioterra as the highest-circulation, leading garden magazine on the Swiss magazine market.

Christine Kunovits was responsible for the cooking magazine Saisonküche as Editor-in-Chief for twelve years, built up the contract business in the culinary sector together with her team, and was Co-Head of the Magazine & Content division of MigrosMedien since 2012. She is leaving the company at the end of March (Werbewoche.ch reported).

Daniel Gürber, Managing Director of Bioterra, on her appointment: "I am very pleased that with Christine Kunovits we have been able to win a competent, experienced and broadly networked journalist with a passion for gardening and a strong affinity for publishing issues. Under her responsibility, Bioterra magazine will now continue to grow and become increasingly established in the digital market."

Until she takes up her position in October, Christine Kunovits will be working on freelance projects and at the same time delving into the subject of natural, organic gardening. "For me, it is a great gift to be able to combine another hobby with my job for the second time in my life, after cooking."

Bioterra is the leading organization for organic and natural gardening in Switzerland. The association offers various courses as well as lectures for professional and amateur gardeners and publishes the garden magazine seven times a year. This very successfully. In contrast to many other print titles, Bioterra has been able to increase its circulation from today's 15,277 by 20 percent in the last nine years.
