Thomas Zuberbühler is very familiar with the media scene in the canton of St.Gallen, having worked at times full-time and at times part-time at Regionaljournal Ostschweiz from 2007 to last year.

Born in Rorschach in 1981 and raised in Rorschacherberg and St. Gallen, Zuberbühler initially completed a commercial apprenticeship with a vocational baccalaureate. He then studied journalism and communications at the Zurich University of Applied Sciences in Winterthur. He got his start at Radio SRF in 2007 with a part-time job as sports editor at Regionaljournal Ostschweiz, and at the same time he became a reporter and producer at DRS 3 in Zurich. From 2011 to 2013, he worked entirely at Regionaljournal Ostschweiz in St.Gallen as a producer and editor. In 2013, he moved to the midday magazine "Rendez-vous" and "Tagesgespräch" in Bern, where he still works as a producer and deputy editorial director.

Thomas Zuberbühler will join the State Chancellery of the Canton of St.Gallen at the beginning of April. Hildegard Jutz will retire at the end of April after almost 20 years of service as the canton's media relations and communications officer.
