New President for the Audience Council

Susanne Hasler will become the new President of the Audience Council of SRG Deutschschweiz in 2017. The Aargauerin replaces Manfred Pfiffner, who led the Council for the past eight years.

Hasler is an organizational psychologist and district teacher as well as President of the Program Commission of SRG Aargau Solothurn and succeeds Manfred Pfiffner, who was a member of the Audience Council for 16 years and chaired it since 2009. The new Vice President is Kathy Gerber from Kirchlindach BE.

Change at the Ombudsman Office

Over a long period of time, Manfred Pfiffner, an educationalist at the Zurich University of Teacher Education, has been a critical media consumer, following countless broadcasts, observing them and discussing them controversially with those responsible for the programs. His expertise will remain with SRG Deutschschweiz in the future. At the suggestion of the incumbent ombudsman Roger Blum, the Audience Council has elected him as its deputy as of 2017. The previous deputy ombudsman, Sylvia Egli von Matt, is stepping down from her post at the end of the year after nine years.
