Yves Bossart has been working as an editor and producer for "Sternstunde Philosophie" since 2013. Alongside this, the 32-year-old philosopher with a doctorate has worked as a high school teacher and author. Most recently, his introductory philosophical book "Ohne Heute gäbe es morgen kein Gestern: Philosophische Gedankenspiele" was published. Yves Bossart gives numerous lectures, regularly moderates discussions and has often been a guest expert on Swiss radio and television. He was significantly involved in the realization of the successful animated film series "Filosofix - Philosophy Animated". His concern is to convey philosophical questions in an understandable, true-to-life and entertaining way. He now tries to do this in his new role as a presenter in front of the camera.

Yves Bossart studied philosophy, musicology and history at the universities of Lucerne, Zurich and Heidelberg. He then completed his doctorate at the Humboldt University in Berlin. He lives in Zurich with his wife and daughter.

Yves Bossart will host his first "Sternstunde Philosophie" on Sunday, January 8, 2017. He will lead the talks alternately with Barbara Bleisch.

Yves Bossart: "I am very much looking forward to the new challenge. What could be better than talking to smart and experienced people about life's big questions?"

Judith Hardegger, Editorial Director Sternstunden: "Combining philosophy with everyday life and implementing challenging topics imaginatively - Yves Bossart has proven these strengths time and again as Sternstunden editor. I am very pleased that he will now do the same in front of the camera."
