Bähram Alagheband new TV correspondent

A new TV correspondent will be working for SRF in the Aargau Solothurn region from February 2017. Bähram Alagheband succeeds Noëmi Ackermann, who is moving to Radio SRF 4 News as a producer.

Bähram Alagheband has been working as a journalist since 2001. Initially, he was an editor at the Mittelland-Zeitung (now AZ Nordwestschweiz), followed by a move to Radio 32 in 2004, where he held various positions as editor and deputy editorial director until 2010. He then moved to television, to the regional station Tele M1. There he worked as a video journalist, producer and topic planner.

In 2013, he moved to Schweizer Radio und Fernsehen (SRF), to Regionaljournal Aargau Solothurn, where he has been working as a producer and editor ever since. From February 2017, Bähram Alagheband will be SRF's new television correspondent for the Aargau Solothurn region. After a familiarization period, he will take over the position from Noëmi Ackermann, who is now working as a producer at Radio SRF 4 News in Bern. The 36-year-old Bähram Alagheband grew up in Switzerland and has Iranian roots.
