New heads for Contexta

A CEO, a Managing Director, a Head of Digital Strategy. Contexta is upgrading and relying on many years of professional experience and digital know-how.

The consumer has never driven companies before him as is the case today. It has long been the consumer who completely rewrites the rules of a market - mostly thanks to new technologies. Brand management has never been as central to corporate success as it is in these turbulent times of digital transformation.

Contexta is therefore upgrading and has taken on three innovative minds from the advertising, media and private sectors. The company relies on many years of experience and digital know-how. More power to actively shape the digital transformation with strong brands.

Thomas Frésard has been CEO of Contexta since mid-August. The 45-year-old was previously Marketing Manager at McDonald's Switzerland and at the world's second and fourth largest breweries SABMiller and Carlsberg Breweries, working in Switzerland, Denmark and Russia. Responsible for some of the strongest brands in the world, he has spent years learning the craft of brand management. As a marketing and trade marketing professional, he has developed and successfully implemented hundreds of campaigns. He knows the business goals and the politics of the client's daily life and combines client and agency side in a pleasant and efficient way.

Martin Samsel is also new on board. After a four-month sabbatical, the 46-year-old started as Managing Director and member of the Executive Board in mid-September. Before joining Contexta, he was CEO of Scholz & Friends Switzerland for four and a half years. From 2003 to the end of 2011, he was one of the formative leaders at Jung von Matt/Limmat. In his consulting and strategic roles, he has worked on more than 100 award-winning campaigns and has received over 200 of the most important national and international industry recognitions, ranging from Cannes Lions to numerous Effies à la couleur.

Nadine Borter, owner of Contexta will now have even more time for strategy and consulting.A retreat? "On the contrary. With the reinforcement in the team, I can work even closer and more in-depth with our customers. Now we're really getting started. I'm looking forward to it!"

At the beginning of 2017, Mark de Kock, currently Managing Director Digital at Omnicom Media Group Switzerland, will also join Contexta. The 41-year-old is a digital professional with more than 18 years of experience, both on the agency and client side. Before joining Omnicom Media Group in Switzerland, he made a name for himself in Holland by founding and successfully managing several agencies for digital strategy, social media and mobile. As Head of Digital Strategy at Contexta, he will use his many years of professional experience and unique digital know-how to provide clients with expert advice and take them an important step further along the path of digital transformation.
