Women in Business, the community for women in leading positions in Switzerland, has named Laura Meyer, CEO of Hotelplan, this year's Woman of the Year. The 41-year-old took the helm as CEO at travel company Hotelplan Group at the beginning of 2021. Prior to that, she had helped determine the fate of the international group as a member of the Board of Directors since 2018.

Before moving to the tourism industry, Laura Meyer was responsible for Digital Distribution & Analytics at UBS Switzerland. The Zurich native, who holds a Master of Law from the University of Zurich and a Master in Business Administration from the private
French business school Insead, had started her career in management consulting at McKinsey after graduation. She spent six years working for the company in over ten countries on four continents. In spring 2022, the digital expert and mother of two sons was elected to the NZZ Board of Directors.

"Inspiring role model"

Many reasons why Laura Meyer has now received the award. "Laura Meyer is an inspiring role model with her will to tackle major challenges even in times of crisis and to apply herself with passion," says Brigitte Selden, Editor-in-Chief of
Women in Business.
