NZZ Viewpoints new with Katja Gentinetta

On October 23, Katja Gentinetta will host the program NZZ Standpunkte for the first time alongside NZZ Editor-in-Chief Eric Gujer. The political philosopher is also known to many as the host of Sternstunde Philosophie on SRF.

Gentinetta thus replaces Marco Färber, who is retiring after almost ten years of moderating NZZ Standpunkte. She has been an independent political philosopher and entrepreneur since 2011. She advises companies and organizations on sociopolitical issues and is a lecturer at the universities of St. Gallen and Lucerne. She also hosted Sternstunde Philosophie on SRF for four years. From 2006 to 2011, she was deputy director of the think tank Avenir Suisse. Katja Gentinetta has published several books on socio-political issues and on Swiss-EU relations, most recently in 2016 with NZZ Libro. "Do companies have a home?" published.

Katja Gentinetta, born in 1968, grew up in Valais. She studied German, history and philosophy in Zurich and Paris, and finally earned her doctorate under Georg Kohler with a thesis on the limits of tolerance. She continued her education in cultural and administrative management in Salzburg and at Harvard University.
