New management for Aperto Switzerland

Aperto's Swiss office is repositioning itself and expanding its portfolio. With Frank Salathé, the agency brought an experienced creative manager on board in August.

As General Manager and Creative Director, he is responsible for building up new services around the topic of digital customer experience and is expected to drive the growth of the Swiss location under the IBM umbrella.

The agency group Aperto, headquartered in Berlin, has been part of IBM Interactive Experience (IBM iX), one of the largest digital agencies worldwide, since April 2016. Aperto has already been active in Switzerland since 2000 and is now supporting the strategic expansion of IBM iX throughout the DACH region. Current clients at the Basel location include well-known Swiss brands such as Migros, Baloise, Roche, Kanton Basel, Uni Basel and Endress + Hauser.

Frank Salathé comes from the Swiss agency Maxomedia, where he was most recently Head of Digital, Member of the Executive Board and Partner. In this role, the 42-year-old built up a business unit with a focus on the disciplines of digital design and technology and, together with his team, supported medium-sized and large Swiss companies in the conception and realization of digital products and services.

The core competencies of the Basel office are design, conception, consulting and technology. For large projects, the local team works closely with colleagues from Berlin, who support in particular with technical expertise. As part of IBM iX, the portfolio is now expanding to include access to forward-looking services such as data analytics, cognitive computing and marketing automation, in order to offer customers even better services in the area of customer experience.
