Markus Gubler joins the Executive Board of Mediapulse

 Markus Gubler becomes Head of Data at Mediapulse and a member of the management team. He thus heads the company's largest division in terms of personnel.

Upon taking up his new position, Markus Gubler will also become part of the Executive Board and report directly to CEO Tanja Hackenbruch.

In his function, he plays a critical role in the operation of the hybrid TV measurement system (Hi-Res data) as well as in other data-based projects. In the future, the internal vertical integration is also to be increased by locating tasks in the data area.

"Not least our in-house development of the Hi-Res TV data platform has shown that we not only need know-how in the data area, but also have to produce ourselves. Markus Gubler is the ideal person for these tasks and I am very pleased to have him on the board," says Tanja Hackenbruch, CEO at Mediapulse.

Experienced media researcher

Markus Gubler studied psychology and computer science at the University of Bern and has many years of experience in the media research environment. He has worked for SRG, SRF and Swissinfo, among others, and has extensive project and team management experience in market research and data management. In 2017, he completed his MAS in Data Science at the ZHAW. For several years now, Gubler has proven himself within Mediapulse on a wide variety of technical fronts and has become a valued sparring partner for the CEO and the entire management team.

As an independent industry organization, Mediapulse is responsible for collecting data on the use of radio and TV programs and online offerings in Switzerland. This data is regarded as official currency and is used by broadcasters and program makers, the advertising industry, as well as public authorities and research.
