Netflix appoints Dept as lead social agency DACH

Global digital agency Dept has been selected by Netflix as the lead agency for the company's social media presence in the DACH region. As an extension of the internal Netflix team, Dept is responsible for the content strategy, campaign management, optimization, reporting, quality assurance and innovation of the national campaigns in Germany, Austria and Switzerland on TikTok, Instagram, X (Twitter) and Meta.

Dept recently completed a successful eight-week pitch phase for Netflix and was ultimately selected as the future social lead agency. The next milestones are the development of the new Netflix content strategy for DACH, the set-up of production workflows for asset creation and the roll-out of campaigns across multiple markets and channels to take Netflix's social media presence to the next level.

Dept has developed social media campaigns for some of the world's biggest brands, including Twitch, Samsung, Just Eat Takeaway (Lieferando) and eBay.
