Amateur league relies on streaming with Red

The Swiss Football Association's amateur league will broadcast the official league and cup qualifying matches of the 2nd division interregional live on from the 2023/24 season.

The Swiss sports streaming platform Red, which already covers the Yapeal Promotion League and 1st League Classic, will be expanded to include all matches from the fifth-highest Swiss soccer league from next season. The 2nd Liga interregional will be divided into four groups with a total of 64 teams from the 2023/2024 season. "Our mission is to support the foundation - the clubs - with state-of-the-art solutions and, above all, to provide the thousands of enthusiastic footballers in Switzerland with access to video content from their matches," emphasizes Sandro Stroppa, President of the Amateur League.

The amateur league and Red have agreed on a contract for the next five years. The cooperation was initiated by Starc Marketing & Sports. With the kick-off of the 2023/2024 season, more than 960 championship matches of Switzerland's fifth-highest division will be produced and offered as live stream or on demand.

Red relies on intelligent camera systems that are permanently installed in the stadiums. In addition to live streaming production, the camera systems can be used for training and analysis purposes.
