APG|SGA is disturbed by the communication of Neo Advertising

Due to the communication of Neo Advertising/Tamedia, the impression was created that APG|SGA is hardly represented in the city of Bern anymore, criticizes the poster company.

"Neo Advertising has been awarded the contract for the management and marketing of the public display areas as well as the city maps of the city of Bern" announced the advertising marketing company from Tamedia last week (Werbewoche.ch reported). "From January 1, 2020, Neo Advertising will manage a complete advertising inventory of around 1,800 classic as well as backlit advertising spaces for at least eight years. In the process, Neo Advertising will also operate the capital's cultural, political and official billboards," the statement said.

And: The advertising spaces at the bus stops remained with the previous provider. The company in question is Clear Channel. The company secured Lot 2 - currently 197 advertising spaces at all bus and streetcar stops - to continue its previous cooperation with the city of Bern.

And APG|SGA? In a statement, the company criticizes that due to the communication of Neo Advertising/Tamedia, the impression was created that APG|SGA is hardly represented at any poster sites in the city and will consequently suffer substantial losses. In fact, this is not the case.

APG points out that Neo Advertising has won a total of 1763 usable service spaces by winning lots 1 and 3, of which only 997 can be used commercially. 966, on the other hand, are not allowed to be used commercially - they are intended for cultural and political posters commissioned by the city of Bern. "The areas were presumably added to make the area total appear higher," APG|SGA said when asked by Werbewoche.ch.

The three lots that were put out to tender were the areas on land owned by the city of Bern. "The crux of the matter is that there are also very many areas on private land that were not part of the tender," says APG spokeswoman Nadja Mühlemann, explaining her company's objection. APG|SGA, for example, operates 1,007 commercial spaces on private land and will thus have the largest supply of road space in the capital from 2020. In addition, there are further exclusive offers in the area of transport advertising (inside and outside) at BernMobil, the MegaPosters, and digital ePanel and eBoard spaces in the train stations.
