Tamedia ends cooperation with Publicitas
Tamedia felt compelled to terminate its cooperation with Publicitas "with immediate effect due to increasing payment arrears on the part of the advertising broker," the media group wrote in a statement on Wednesday.
Tamedia will inform all advertising customers who have booked advertising through Publicitas in recent weeks accordingly and ask them to make payments only directly to Tamedia, the statement continues.
Marcel Kohler, Head of Advertising & Commuter Media at Tamedia: "We very much regret having to end our cooperation with Publicitas. However, a long series of missed payment deadlines and unfulfilled assurances, as well as the payment arrears accumulated over the last twelve months, leave us no other choice."
Tamedia is interested in providing the best possible support to the affected customers together with other Swiss media companies. Whether and in what form joint solutions are possible is currently still open and the subject of discussions.
