The new screens are each mounted in a sequence - on two escalators each with 16 or 12 screens, and on one escalator with eight screens. The dynamic screens offer creative flexibility.

In the modern underground stations of Switzerland's largest main train station in Zurich, 64 Escalator E-Panels are being installed at five high-frequency hotspots. Several consecutive screens with dynamic imageflow technology accompany travelers on their escalator journey.

Escalator E-Panels are suitable for single, multiple or synchronously played still images or animations. The E-Panels support storytelling with moving images and cross-screen messages. "The target group is reached in a receptive waiting situation and can be accompanied during the entire escalator ride. Storytelling with moving content takes on a new meaning and attention through this format," says Head of Partner & Product Management, Beat Holenstein.

Attentive and flexible

The long exits and escalators of the underground stations have for the first time created an environment that allows the implementation of the Escalator ePanels, which is new in Switzerland. "Together with SBB and the market partners Kilchennmann and Burri Public Elements, APG|SGA developed the special advertising media over a period of two years, which fit perfectly into the infrastructure thanks to the use of high-quality materials," explains Chris Mühlemann, the head of APG|SGA Rail responsible for the implementation.

The existing digital offering at Zurich Main Station with the e-boards, e-panels and beamers is available as a daily or weekly network and is now complemented by the Escalator e-panels.
