Job cuts at French-speaking Swiss media group ESH Médias

The French-speaking Swiss media group ESH Médias is cutting up to 40 jobs. The company, which publishes the newspapers Le Nouvelliste, La Côte and ArcInfo, among others, intends to reduce its annual fixed costs by four million francs.

All of the Group's activities and locations will be affected, according to a press release issued by ESH Médias on Tuesday. Around ten jobs would be lost in each of the various editorial offices.

According to the communiqué, the reduction in staff is to be achieved "as far as possible" through natural fluctuation. However, redundancies cannot be avoided, it said.

A consultation phase has begun and will end on February 16. Employees were informed about the restructuring on Tuesday. A new organizational model will be presented to them at the beginning of March. (SDA)
