There is a new face in the "Tagesschau" anchor team - but a familiar one at SRF: Florence Fischer has been working for SRF since 2011. For several years, she could be heard on Radio SRF 3 as presenter of the sports magazine on Sundays as well as on the eve during the week. In 2022, Fischer moved from Radio SRF 3 to SRF's domestic newsroom. Before joining SRF, she studied theater, film and media studies at the University of Vienna and graduated from ZHAW in journalism and organizational communication.

Florence Fischer is also already familiar to SRF television audiences: In 2014, the Zurich native hosted the SRF street game "Sherlock hol's". In 2016, Fischer was on assignment for SRF Sport at the European Football Championship in France: In the format "Florence en France," she traveled through the country and, equipped with a telephone and selfie stick, reported directly from the various venues. The reporter talked to well-known personalities as well as hidden heroes of football or immersed herself in the atmosphere of the fan zones.

Fischer succeeds Penelope Kühnis as anchor of the "Tagesschau" noon and eve editions. After more than ten years as anchor of the news program, she has decided to move behind the camera.
