Media type: Manuel Fischer becomes editor-in-chief of "Phase5

With the turn of the year, the editorial management of Phase5 will be in new hands. As of January 1, 2023, Manuel Fischer (58) will be the new Editor-in-Chief of the trade journal for home and building technology in the publishing area.

Manuel Fischer, a historian with a licentiate, is a proven connoisseur of the trade media world. After starting his career at a magazine for the food industry, he worked, among other things, as a specialist editor at a magazine publisher and simultaneously as a freelance author and contractor. In the process, he carried out numerous mandates for associations and publishing houses, trained himself in corporate publishing and came into contact with such diverse subject areas as human resources, logistics & supply chain management and retail trade. Thanks to his many years of specialist journalism, he has acquired a broad knowledge of building technology and energy over the years and has a great appreciation of the diversity and potential of the industry:

"Topical questions move many people in and outside the industry. Energy transition in general and at the building, what is possible? Where do comfort ventilation systems make sense? Is the bathroom the new living room? Everything smartly controlled? Is building sustainable?" The previous editor-in-chief, Monika Schläppi, is taking a well-deserved break after the intensive development work and the establishment of the trade magazine Phase5.
