Quartett takes over chief editorship of the Freiburger Nachrichten

A four-person team will lead the editorial team of the Fribourg News as of January 1. The quartet of two women and two men succeeds the previous editor-in-chief Christoph Nussbaumer, who has held the post of publishing director since last fall.

In the new editorial management, 54-year-old Imelda Ruffieux will be responsible for topic planning and coordination between the local sections. Sarah Neuhaus, 34, will be head of storytelling and video, according to Freiburger Nachrichten AG.

The head of production is 50-year-old Fahrettin Calislar, and the head of digital is 36-year-old Christian Holzer. As "team leader," Holzer, who had headed the editorial department on an interim basis for three months, joins the management team.

With a 50 percent share of women and with members from different regions, the new management is broadly supported, the statement continues. (SDA)
