Energy opens first radio studio in Metaverse

Energy launches the first radio studio in the metaverse and plans a virtual concert series with Swisscom. The aim is to enable the digital-savvy community to explore the Energy world and experience it in interactive form.

The virtual radio studio of the entertainment company Energy has its own music program, its own sound image and is also regularly visited by various well-known Energy presenters. In the next few days, hotly sought-after tickets will be raffled off for Energy Air, the summer finale at the Stockhorn Arena in Thun. Around Energy Air and until the end of the year, further activities and implementations are planned together with Swisscom, including several live concerts in Web 3.0.

After Energy Zurich, Energy Bern, Energy Basel, Energy Luzern and Energy St.Gallen, the first purely digital Energy radio station goes live in the Metaverse. The realistically recreated radio studio is located on Decentraland - a decentralized 3D virtual reality platform. The radio studio was designed and implemented in collaboration with Software Brauerei AG from Zurich. Swisscom, as a long-standing presenting partner of the Energy Live events, has also been on board with the implementations in the Metaverse from the very beginning and is represented with its own lounge and the "blue Space", which has already provided impressive recordings at the physical festivals.

Pascal Frei, CEO of Energy Group, is impressed: "With a small, agile team and together with Swisscom as well as the software brewery, we were able to implement the new radio station in the Metaverse together in the last few weeks. Now we want to experience the possibilities with our community, learn a lot and push the Metaverse project further." With this, Energy and Swisscom set another milestone in terms of innovative activations. After last year's high-impact attitude campaign "Mute the Hate," which advocated more respect on the Internet, the two partners are now also breaking new ground together in the Metaverse.

Dirk Wierzbitzki, Head of Private Customers and member of the Executive Board, is delighted about the joint initiative: "Metaverse is on everyone's lips and offers us the opportunity to identify new opportunities in the digital world at various levels. It makes me proud to once again set an innovation benchmark in the activation of our partnership together with our long-standing partner Energy."

Studio 1:1 replica

The Energy radio station in the Metaverse looks almost like a real studio and has been virtually recreated 1:1. From the acoustic sound world, to radio hosts on site or even own station voices - for the first time with certain elements even in English - the experience will be special but also unique, as Pascal Frei explains: "Our radio station can be seen and heard. I'm looking forward to seeing our presenters live soon, exchanging ideas with the community digitally and communicating with each other virtually."

Anyone who visits the Energy radio studio in the Metaverse by September 4, 2022, will collect "SHOAP tokens" via the "Play to Earn" mechanism, which can be redeemed for exclusive Energy Air ticket prize draws. Hotly sought-after Energy Air tickets will also be raffled off in Swisscom's virtual "blue Space". A live visit to the Metaverse radio studio during the Energy Air show is also planned, allowing the thousands of viewers to immerse themselves in the virtual action up close. The radio studio is accessible to everyone free of charge and around the clock - all that is needed to visit Decentraland is a computer with Internet access. Those who want to collect the tokens also need a wallet (e.g. Metamask), which they can link to their customizable avatar and thus immerse themselves in the virtual 3D world. Metaverse live concerts with Swisscom

In addition to the radio studio, the first Metaverse live concerts are planned with Swisscom by the end of the year, at which both national and international acts will musically inspire visitors in Web 3.0 in the style of an Energy Live session. These Metaverse events will be accompanied by additional features, such as virtual collectibles and other special implementations, which will offer the community unprecedented interaction opportunities with artists or Energy presenters.
