Christian Handelsman back on the radio

Christian Handelsman, who can confidently be called a "radio legend of the 1990s," is returning to the microphone at Radio Top. After a serious accident, the Zurich native had to take a career break.

After more than 10 years, Christian Handelsman made his radio debut again, hosting the Top evening show. The 51-year-old joined Radio TOP's presenting team on July 1. "I'm thrilled to be back in a radio studio. I'm doing this for the sheer joy of it and not for the money," says Handelsman.

Christian Handelsman hosted "Ufsteller" on Radio 24 from 1992 to 2001, as well as various 12-hour specials such as "Live vom Platzspitz," "Live aus dem AIDS Haus," etc. Before that, he was a presenter at Radio Zürisee and worked at TeleZüri for programs such as "Jukebox", "Bistro" and "Fadegrad". At the time, the Zurich native belonged to radio greats such as Roman Kilchsperger, Roger Schawinski and Markus Gilli. Then Handelsman suffered severe head injuries in an accident and it was no longer possible for him to do radio. "We are all the more pleased to hear Christian's voice on the radio again after so many years," says Karin El Mais, Editor-in-Chief of TOP-Medien.
