Bruno Ziauddin becomes Editor-in-Chief of Das Magazin

Bruno Ziauddin takes over editorial management at the Magazine of the Tamedia publishing house. He succeeds long-time Editor-in-Chief Finn Canonica.

Bruno Ziauddin (*1965) has been Deputy Editor-in-Chief since the beginning of 2019 and stands for continuity at the Magazine. Before his time at the Magazine he worked for five years at the Annabelle was in charge of the reportage department and was deputy editor-in-chief. Ziauddin studied politics, history and economics in London before joining the Zürcher Unterländer entered journalism as a trainee. In the course of his career, he has worked at the St. Galler Tagblatt, at the Observer, at the Swiss family, already earlier at the magazine as well as at the Weltwoche Experience gained.

Tamedia Co-Managing Director Marco Boselli is very pleased about the nomination of the two-time winner of the Zurich Journalism Prize and Reporter of the Year 2008: "With Bruno Ziauddin, an experienced and highly esteemed personality is taking on the responsibility. He knows the editorial team very well and is aware of the great importance the magazine has for Tamedia and Swiss journalism."

Finn Canonica has led the title as editor-in-chief for the past 15 years. After 20 years at the Magazine accept a new professional challenge.
