Patrik Müller becomes new Editor-in-Chief of CH Media

The Board of Directors of CH Media has appointed Patrik Müller as its new Editor-in-Chief. Müller, 47, had previously taken over the journalistic reins on an interim basis following the departure of Pascal Hollenstein.

Müller will be appointed editor-in-chief of all CH Media newspapers and the corresponding online portals as of July 1, according to a CH Media statement on Wednesday. This also includes the journalistic management.

Publisher Peter Wanner says: "For me, Patrik Müller is the ideal solution. He is one of the best and most creative editors-in-chief in our country. We've known each other for a long time and tick the same boxes on many issues; I'm looking forward to continuing our good collaboration."

Müller himself will continue to be the editor-in-chief of the editorial mantle and of the Switzerland at the weekend true. This "new and clear structure" will simplify management, it added. As a result, editorial processes, specifications and resources can be standardized at all locations, according to the statement.

Müller completed his studies in business administration in St. Gallen in 2000 and wrote as business editor for the Aargauer newspaper. After detours to Tamedia and Ringier, he returned to AZ Medien in 2007, first as Editor-in-Chief of what was then Schweiz am Sonntag, and later also of the az Northwestern Switzerland. Since CH Media was founded in 2018, he has headed the central editorial department. (sda.)
