Miriam Meckel becomes a member of Tamedia's Board of Directors

Miriam Meckel was elected to the Board of Directors of Tamedia. She replaces Pierre Lamunière, who is stepping down from all boards of the TX Group and its subsidiaries after 13 years of active involvement. 

Miriam Meckel becomes a member of Tamedia's Board of Directors. She has been Professor of Corporate Communication at the University of St. Gallen since 2005. She is also co-founder and CEO of the company "ada Learning," a European learning platform that supports organizations on their way to a sustainable digital future with offerings for individual and collaborative growth. Previously, Miriam Meckel was editor-in-chief and publisher of the Business Week in the Handelsblatt Media Group.

Miriam Meckel was a lecturer at the Berkman Klein Center for Internet & Society for several years and a visiting professor at Singapore Management University. From 2006 to 2007, she hosted the business talk show "Miriam Meckel - Standpunkte" on the German news channel n-tv. Prior to that, she was State Secretary in the portfolio of the Minister President of North Rhine-Westphalia, first as government spokeswoman and then as State Secretary for Europe, International Affairs and Media. In 2013, Miriam Meckel, in the #Sessesselaustausch format, swapped places with Res Strehle for a week, during which time she acted as editor-in-chief of the Tages-Anzeiger. She received the Cicero speaker award in the category of science, published books, journalistic articles and scientific journal articles.
