Tanja Maniglio Hofer becomes Head of Media Relations Studies at Maz

As of June, Tanja Maniglio Hofer joins the team at the Maz School of Journalism in Lucerne. She takes over from Matthias Meyer as Head of Media Relations and will be responsible for the internal and external communication of the foundation.

Tanja Maniglio Hofer studied and earned her doctorate in communication science and media research at the University of Zurich. She has many years of experience in the realization of challenging communication projects, both on the corporate side and in consulting.

Maniglio Hofer started as a communications consultant at the agency m/& and then headed the media analysis department at Argus, focusing on corporate communications, issue and reputation management. She then spent four years in the USA with her family, where she was responsible for public relations and public affairs at the Washington Office of the Hanns Seidel Foundation. After returning to Switzerland, she joined Avaloq's Corporate Communications, professionalized media monitoring for reputation management and was responsible for employer branding. Most recently, Maniglio Hofer led Credit Suisse's global media monitoring in the area of communications strategy. She also brings experience in adult education: At the Institute for Communication Science and Media Research at the University of Zurich, she played a key role in preparing and conducting continuing education courses for communication professionals.

The previous Director of Studies for Media Relations, Matthias Meyer, will concentrate fully on his company as of July 1. He will remain associated with the institution as a lecturer.
