CH media channels get sharper: 3+, 4+ and TV24 soon in UHD

With the launch of 3+, 4+ and TV24 in UHD, CH Media Entertainment wants to take the next step in the TV evolution. With the additional UHD channels, the content of the national TV stations will be available in higher picture resolution from March 8.

Coming soon in four times higher resolution: CH-Media broadcast Masterchef.

CH Media Entertainment wants to set the course for the upcoming UHD era. The previous resolution in HD quality will be quadrupled with the future UHD signal, making the viewing experience even more vivid and intense. A significant gain in quality is also apparent with current HD content. For example, popular in-house productions such as "Sing meinen Song - Das Schweizer Tauschkonzert" or "MasterChef," blockbusters, hit series, or live top sports can soon be enjoyed in even better quality.

Roger Elsener, Managing Director CH Media Entertainment, says about the UHD update: "We are very pleased that we will soon be able to offer the content of our wide-ranging channels 3+, 4+ and TV24 in even better quality and are already prepared for future UHD content. With this upgrade, we are taking viewing pleasure to a new level."

As early as March 8, 2022, the UHD signal will be switched on at Sunrise UPC for all digital TV customers - and on March 22, 2022, the signal upgrade will take place at Swisscom and Quickline.
