David Meier becomes Head of Group Mergers & Acquisitions of Ringier

David Meier ist neuer Head M&A von Ringier. In dieser Funktion verantwortet er seit Anfang Monat den gruppenweiten Bereich «Mergers & Acquisitions» und unterstützt das Unternehmen in seiner strategischen Entwicklung in insgesamt 18 Ländern.

39-year-old David Meier joins Ringier as the new Head M&A. In this role, he is a member of the extended Executive Board of Ringier AG and reports to Group CFO Annabella Bassler. He has spent the last seven years working in M&A for the Coop Group, where his responsibilities included its entry into the Austrian and Spanish foodservice markets. Prior to that, he was with investment bank Leonardo & Co. where he advised both buy and sell sides in M&A transactions. Meier holds a master's degree in business and economics with a specialization in finance, controlling and banking.

Jessica List, formerly Head M&A & Strategic Projects at Ringier, is joining the newly created SMG Swiss Marketplace Group, the joint venture between TX Group, Ringier, Mobiliar and General Atlantic. As Chief Corporate Officer, she will be responsible for the integration of the newly created company as well as its legal and communications departments and corporate governance from March 2022.
