Radio-SRF1 boss Heidi Ungerer in the Comsumcast: "Corona helped radio make a comeback".

Because the Communication Summit of ZPRG and ZPV cannot take place in 2022 due to the pandemic, the Comsumcast continues: In the latest episode, host Reto Lipp talks to Radio-SRF-1 program director Heidi Ungerer.

Radio, actually an old medium, has experienced a great comeback, especially in the Corona crisis, because accompaniment through everyday life is more in demand than ever, says Radio SRF1 boss Heidi Ungerer. Prior to her management position at SRF1, she worked as a business journalist at the European Business Channel, as a presenter at the former Radio Z and as the journalistic day manager of DRS1.

How have radio hosts responded to Corona? How has the tone of the presenters changed? What were the needs of listeners - many in quarantine or home office? What new formats were launched? Is radio primarily an informational or yet more of a companion medium? In an age of Spotify, how important is music still on the radio? Shouldn't SRF1 concentrate fully on talk radio and leave music to Musikwelle and Radio SRF1? Will radio be able to maintain its position in the long term, or is social media increasingly taking over the role of radio? And what role do podcasts play today? SRF1 business journalist and presenter Reto Lipp talks about these questions with Heidi Ungerer in the Comsumcast.

Video podcast as an alternative program to the Communication Summit

The Comsumcast is the replacement for the Communication Summit of the ZPRG (Zurich PR Society) and the ZPV (Zurich Press Association). As a video it is available on Youtube; at Spotify and with Apple Podcasts he can be heard in the audio version. It is produced by Tablecast / Christoph Soltmannowski.
