SRG boss Marchand re-elected to EBU Executive Board
SRG Director General Gilles Marchand was re-elected to the Executive Board of the European Broadcasting Union EBU on Thursday. It is his third mandate, as SRG announced on Thursday evening.
In addition to Marchand, the EBU's General Assembly in Geneva also elected BBC Director Tim Davie and Marinella Soldi, President of the Italian broadcaster Rai, to the eleven-member Executive Council. The latter is chaired by Delphine Ernotte Cunci of France Télévision.
According to SRG, the Geneva-based EBU is the world's largest alliance of public service media. It comprises 115 members from 56 countries, including Asia, Africa and the Americas. In total, it represents 2,000 radio, television and online offerings. (SDA)
