20 Minuten launches smart TV app
The 20 Minuten videos make a leap to the big screen. With the launch of the 20 Minuten Smart TV app on all modern Samsung TV sets in Switzerland, 20 Minuten video formats are now also available on the big screen.
As of now, entire video world from news format "20 Minuten NOW!" to people show news "Juice," "Phils' Fails" to fate stories are available via the new smart TV app, writes 20 minutes in a statement Thursday.
According to 20 Minuten, the launched Smart TV app is the first news app in Switzerland to be pre-installed on all new Samsung TV sets, adapted for the TV screen. Users who already have a Samsung Smart TV set at home can find and install the 20 Minuten app by searching the Samsung Store.
"Smart TV apps are becoming increasingly important and are used regularly, especially by very young users," explains Gaudenz Looser, Editor-in-Chief 20 minutes. "The launch of the Samsung Smart TV app is therefore the logical and consistent next step in our video offensive launched about two years ago."
Various video advertising formats are integrated in the new 20 Minuten Smart TV app, such as pre-roll or the XXL advertising format Masthead on the front.
