TV8: Laurence Desbordes to succeed Editor-in-Chief Edouard Lin

Edouard Lin, Editor-in-Chief of TV8, will retire at the end of May 2021 after 41 years of service for Ringier and Ringier Axel Springer Switzerland. As of June 1, 2021, Laurence Desbordes will be the new editor-in-chief of TV8.

Laurence Desbordes is simultaneously appointed Deputy Editor-in-Chief of L'illustré promoted and reports to Stéphane Benoit-Godet, Editor-in-Chief of L'illustré.

After a total of 41 years with Ringier and Ringier Axel Springer Switzerland, Edouard Lin will retire at the end of May as Editor-in-Chief of TV8 end and retire at the age of 68. He has successfully led the editorial team since 2010. Thus TV8 is now one of the best-selling magazines on newsstands in French-speaking Switzerland. Lin began his career at Ringier in 1980 as a layout artist, graphic designer and journalist; he then assumed responsibility for the TV supplement of L'illustré took over. He later moved to the editorial department of TV8where he worked for ten years, most recently as production manager, before being appointed editor-in-chief in 2009.

The head of culture of L'illustré, Laurence Desbordes, will take over the editorial management of TV8 and is still used for L'illustré in the future in the function of Deputy Editor-in-Chief. Before that, she was a radio journalist at RTS and from 2004 to 2014 Editor-in-Chief of the fashion and lifestyle magazine Edelweisswhich belonged to Ringier at the time.

The French-speaking Switzerland portfolio of Ringier Axel Springer Switzerland consists of L'illustré as the western Swiss counterpart to the Swiss Illustrated, the business magazine PME Magazine as well as GaultMillau and the TV program magazine TV8. The titles are marketed by Ringier Advertising in Lausanne.
