The Aargau-based agency HK Learning is being acquired by Somedia Learning. Somedia is thus reaffirming its commitment to the growth area of digital education and training initiated last year, according to a statement.

Somedia Learning will take over the Baden-based agency retroactively as of January 1, 2021. Simon Knoth, founder and owner of HK Learning, will participate in Somedia Learning as a minority shareholder and take a seat on the management board.

The merger would result in synergies in the production of digital teaching materials for major customers, in particular through an expanded portfolio of development tools, as Somedia writes in the press release. In addition, HK Learning brings numerous well-known project references from industry and wholesale with it from its seven-year company history.

In the medium term, the existing sites in Baden and Wädenswil are to be merged at a joint location in Zurich.
