These are regular terminations with three months' notice, the company told the Keystone-SDA news agency in response to a request on Wednesday. Further terminations are not planned.

Economic reasons due to the Corona crisis led to the terminations, according to the company. "The terminations under such circumstances hurt and we deeply regret. Nevertheless, we are strongly convinced that the company will achieve its goals together with everyone in the changed constellation," the written response continues.

The news portal employs over 50 people, including young journalists and interns who are trained in the internal Nau Academy. (SDA)
