Freiburg News introduces short-time work

Like other media houses, Fribourg News is introducing short-time work due to the Corona crisis. The Board of Directors justifies the measure with the loss of advertising revenues due to the Corona crisis.

Already in the next twelve months, the previous advertising revenues of around six million Swiss francs per year are likely to "decline massively", as the company writes in a statement on Friday. The outlook for the following years is no better.

For the Board of Directors, cost-cutting measures for the newspapers are therefore urgently needed "without delay". Freiburg News, The Murten bidder and Kerzers scoreboard on. The company has therefore submitted an application for the introduction of short-time working.
