SRG continues to adapt programming to Corona crisis

After adjusting their programming for children and young people and providing special pandemic broadcasts, SRG's enterprise units will now prioritize their resources. Some broadcasts, especially in the sports sector, will be temporarily suspended.

In this way, SRG wants to continue to ensure solid and comprehensive information for the population, maintain program production and at the same time protect its employees, the SRG SSR media office announced on Sunday evening.

In the current crisis situation, comprehensive and serious information in all languages and regions of the country is essential. SRG is determined to secure this central mission in the longer term.

The SRG Enterprise Units (RSI, RTR, RTS, SRF and SWI) are therefore prioritizing their programming. This is to ensure the continued operation of the studios, maximum protection for journalists and production staff, according to the statement.

In addition to news and information and content for the youngest viewers, SRG channels are to give priority to programs for the general public and accompanying programs, including numerous films and documentaries.

There will be adjustments in radio, television and online platforms in all regions. Access to the studios will be further restricted and external filming reduced. At the same time, a large proportion of SRG employees already work from home. This measure has been extended until May 3. (SDA)
