CH Media merges federal house editorial teams of TV and radio

The media house CH Media is merging the federal parliament editorial offices of TV and radio at the start of the new legislative term. The editorial team will be led by 34-year-old Matthias Steimer, as CH Media announced in a communiqué on Friday.

As of Monday, the five regional TV stations TeleZüri, Tele M1, TeleBärn, TVO and Tele 1, as well as the four radio stations Radio 24, Radio Argovia, Radio FM1 and Radio Pilatus will be served by a convergent federal house editorial team.

The previous TV correspondent Matthias Steimer (picture right) and the previous radio correspondent Nico Bär (picture left) are teaming up for TV and radio coverage of federal politics. During the sessions, the new Federal Parliament TV & Radio editorial team will be additionally reinforced by staff from the TeleBärn editorial team.

Matthias Steimer has been working as a federal parliament correspondent for TeleZüri, Tele M1 and TeleBärn since 2014. He also produces SonnTalk. He began his journalistic career at the Aargauer Zeitung. The 32-year-old Nico Bär has been the federal parliament correspondent for CH-Media radio stations since 2017.
