NZZ am Sonntag replaces Style and Society Alliance with new magazine

With "NZZ am Sonntag Magazin," NZZ am Sonntag is expanding its offering with a weekly title that is intended to appeal to a younger and female readership in addition to existing subscribers. The magazine will appear for the first time in fall 2019.

In terms of content, the focus of the NZZ am Sonntag Magazine on the themes of society, lifestyle and culture. According to the press release, it is intended to provide inspiration and guidance for an enjoyable, stylish and meaningful life. With a new content concept and journalistic enhancements, the magazine combines popular material and sections from the society section of the NZZ on Sunday and the Style-magazine, which will be discontinued at the same time as the magazine is launched. With the magazine and the associated new journalistic accentuations, the NZZ on Sunday strengthen its profile and increasingly attract a younger and female target group in addition to its existing readership. 

The management team of the new magazine is composed of Nicole Althaus, since 2014 member of the editorial board of the NZZ on Sunday and Editor-in-Chief of Magazines, Christoph Zürcher, Head of the Society Department at "NZZ am Sonntag" since 2004, and Kerstin Netsch, Editorial Director of the Lifestyle titles since 2018. Z, Style and Bellevue. The editorial management for the NZZ am Sonntag Magazine will be taken over by Christoph Zürcher. Nicole Althaus and Kerstin Netsch will continue to be responsible for their existing products and tasks in addition to their work for the magazine.

The NZZ am Sonntag Magazine is published as a weekly supplement to the NZZ on Sunday appear, at no extra charge for subscribers and purchasers of the printed edition. The launch is planned for fall 2019.
