As part of the implementation of Tamedia's future holding-type corporate structure with the four business divisions of Paid Media, Commuter Media, Advertising Marketing and Marketplaces, the aim is to focus these units on their core businesses. For paid media, this means concentrating on those titles that are mainly financed by subscription revenues. As a result, Tamedia has decided to examine the sale of Annabelle magazine, which is heavily dependent on the advertising market, according to a press release.

Christoph Tonini, CEO of Tamedia: "The specific challenges of the traditional magazine Annabelle differ fundamentally from those of our paid media. We therefore want to examine whether it would have better development opportunities with a dedicated entrepreneurial personality or another publisher behind it." Initial talks will take place in the coming weeks.
