"Avengers: Endgame" breaks various records at theatrical release
The blockbuster "Avengers: Endgame" has already achieved box office records in Swiss cinema history on its first day.
As the Walt Disney Company Switzerland writes in a press release, Avengers: Endgame has topped the list of Swiss cinema releases with box office takings of CHF 4,121 million since the film's release. It was also the best April start of all time, the most successful start of 2019 to date and the best superhero start of all time, with the Marvel blockbuster opening more successfully than any other Disney film in Switzerland before.
In the USA, the blockbuster even achieved the most successful opening weekend of all time with a box office takings of 350 million US dollars, while worldwide it has so far grossed 1.2 billion US dollars in just five days, making Avengers: Endgame the first film to break the one billion mark in such a short space of time. The film also opened at number one in the box office charts in all countries.
